To do this, a variety of techniques including joint manipulation or mobilization, myofascial release, soft tissue tools, acupuncture, breathing and biofeedback techniques, therapeutic and corrective exercises, kinesiology taping, nutritional and lifestyle counselling.
A chiropractic joint manipulation, or adjustment, is a treatment in which the chiropractor uses their hands to apply a very quick, precise, and safe amount of pressure directly on the problem area of the spine. This restores normal motion of the joint and relieves tension in the surrounding tissues. You may hear a cracking or popping sound. Adjustments rarely hurt.
