A: Naturopathic Medicine is a system of health care focused on treating the whole individual.  The basic principle is to stimulate the healing power of the body, while treating the underlying causes of disease with natural therapies.  Physical, mental and emotional aspects of health are addressed; focusing not only on treatment but also prevention, connecting with the body’s natural self-healing capacity.

Q: Why should I see a Naturopathic Doctor?

  • To manage an acute or chronic condition without the use of drugs or surgery.
  • To find out the underlying cause of your health concerns.
  • To prevent chronic illness such as cancer, diabetes, heart disease, high cholesterol, obesity, etc.

Q: What can I expect at my first Naturopathic visit?

A: The first Naturopathic consultation will be approximately 75 minutes and involves the following:

  • Full history and medical intake
  • Physical examination
  • Urinary Analysis
  • Bioelectrical Impedance Analysis for Body Composition
  • Individualized Treatment Plan

It is recommended that you bring a copy of any recent blood work and a list of all current supplements and medications along with appropriate dosages.
A personalized treatment plan will be developed based on your individual needs.

Q: Is Naturopathic Medicine covered by OHIP?

A: Although Naturopathic Medicine is not covered by OHIP, it is covered by most extended health care plans. Please check your individual plan to determine what your coverage is.

Q: What payment methods are available?

A: For Naturopathic Consultations, payments can be made with Cheque, MasterCard or VISA.
For Massage, payments can be made with Cash or Cheque.
For Acupuncture, payments can be made with Cash or Cheque.
For Reflexology and Reiki, payments can be made with Cash or Cheque.

Q: What is the cancellation policy?

A: 48 hours notice is required for all cancellations to avoid a charge.  Exceptions may be made in the event of emergency situations.
